The Lexington/Columbia Golden State Foods (GSF) Foundation Chapter
has generously made a $3,000 contribution to RMHC.
Foundation Chair Jack Pritz said, " We feel that it is very appropriate
that our foundation support the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Columbia as
they contribute to make a difference in the lives of the children in our community."
The GSF Foundation is a GSF employee-run, non-profit organization established
to help children in need. A natural extension of Golden State Foods' value-based
business, the Foundation is design to improve the lives of children and families
in the communities where GSF's associates live and work through personal involvement
and contributions.
Established in 2002, the GSF Foundation has raised nearly $3 million
for over 100 children's charities, with more than 75% of GSF associates
supporting the Foundation. GSF employees have prepared more than
7,000 meals for Ronald McDonald houses nationwide, and through
their gifts, they have helped more than 15,000 disabled children
and donated 15,000 pairs of shoes to needy children.
