without volunteers
Volunteers are the backbone of our organization—from our
Board to those who help out in the office, at the House
and Family Room and at special events.
Ronald McDonald House and Family Room
Friendly and compassionate volunteers are always needed
at the Ronald McDonald House and Ronald McDonald Family
Room. All volunteers who serve at the House and Family
Room are
required to
attend
a
training
session,
which
includes
a tour of
the
House, a video presentation on the history of Ronald McDonald
Houses and an orientation session.
Sign up for a 2, 3, or 4 hour shift—usually
on a weekly or monthly basis—to perform a variety
of duties in the House. Duties may include receptionist,
clerical tasks, cleaning and straightening, assisting guests,
replenishing supplies, and other jobs crucial to the daily
operations of the House. Staff assistants need to be friendly,
dependable, cooperative and flexible. They work along with
fulltime staff and are often directly involved with the
children and families staying at the House.
